A St. Croix man was arrested Thursday after police said he fired a gunshot into a woman’s vehicle as she drove past his car in the Estate Calquohoun area on St. Croix, grazing the victim and damaging her vehicle, the Virgin Islands Police Department reported. The 911 Emergency Call Center received a report of shots fired at approximately 7:49 a.m. Investigators determined that Richards fired one round from his licensed firearm into the victim’s vehicle as she passed. A witness corroborated the victim’s account, telling police that Richards fired the shot as the victim drove past his vehicle, the report stated. Richards told officers he felt threatened by the victim and fired one shot at her vehicle, police said.
