The General Coordinator of the National Institute for Federalism and Municipal Development (INAFED), Armando Quintero Martínez, presented Progreso Mayor Erik Rihani González with the “Good Municipal Practices 2025” award, recognizing the work carried out by his administration and the actions implemented since the beginning of his term. This initiative was aimed at municipal governments implementing the 2025 Municipal Performance Advisory Guide, to promote best practices in public management, recognizing administrations that stand out for their results, and strengthening a learning network among municipalities for the exchange of successful experiences. According to the Guide’s criteria, Good Municipal Practices include properly documented programs, projects, public works, strategies, or public policies that address issues within municipal jurisdiction and generate a positive impact on the community. Furthermore, the replicability of these actions in other municipalities is valued, contributing to regional development and institutional strengthening. This recognition represents an impetus to continue moving forward with concrete actions, close to the citizens, and focused on addressing the needs of the municipality.
