Mérida does not appear in INEGI’s survey on the safest cities in Mexico

These are the cities considered the safest to live in Mexico, according to an INEGI survey. A survey conducted by INEGI revealed the cities considered the safest and with the most effective municipal governments. The National Urban Public Safety Survey (ENSU) revealed the list of cities considered the safest to live in Mexico. According to the perceptions of those surveyed, the safest cities are:San Pedro Garza García, Nuevo LeónBenito Juárez, Mexico CityPiedras Negras, CoahuilaLos Mochis, SinaloaSan Nicolás de los Garza, Nuevo LeónPiedras Negras and San Pedro Garza García also ranked among the cities whose municipal governments are effective in resolving the most pressing problems. The ENSU also encompasses the perception of the performance of various public safety authorities.
