The Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) reaffirms its commitment to crime prevention and building safe environments through community policing initiatives aimed at the student community, as part of its ongoing preventative policy. Photo: SSPElementary and middle school students participated in various activities organized through the SSP’s Community Policing and Prevention Program. These activities took place in schools located in neighborhoods and communities of Mérida, as well as in municipalities throughout the state. Intending to reduce risks to the student population, the SSP maintains a constant presence of its officers in schools through scheduled visits that aim to promote healthy coexistence, respect, and safety both inside and outside the school environment.
