The long-running legal battle between Mötley Crüe and former guitarist Mick Mars finally came to a head and it’s the former that’s come out on top. The original complaint alleged that the band was actively trying to sever Mars from the band he’d been in since 1981 as a result of his retirement announcement. ruled in favor of Mötley Crüe. In the decision, it was decided that since Mars was retiring from touring, he’d forfeited his right to any touring revenue. Despite the fact that he’d called for the creation of said provision, Mars wanted to keep getting his 25%, which the arbitrator shot down.
