The father of a 7-year-old girl is charged with capital murder after authorities said he shot and killed her adoptive parents, a married Texas couple.
Deputies found Christopher Lopez, 52, and Trinette Lopez, 52, shot to death at their Harris County home on January 12, according to county Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
“I hope he is judged to the fullest extent of the law,” Christopher and Trinette’s adult daughter, Kristina Rayson, told KTRK-TV.
“My family took his daughter in when he lost custody,” Rayson told KTRK-TV.
The threat came after the other family member reportedly would not let Johnson see his biological daughter unless child protective services were involved.
