Seventeen athletes from Santa Cruz County will compete in the 40th annual Central Coast High School All-Star Football Game at Rabobank Stadium in Salinas on Saturday. Seniors from high schools in Santa Cruz, Monterey, and San Benito Counties were nominated to compete in the annual fundraiser by their respective head coaches. Watsonville has five players competing: receiver/defensive lineman Anthony Landa, tight end/defensive end Luis Marquez Jr., running back/defensive lineman Abraham Martinez, two-way lineman Lisandro Pantoja, and receiver/defensive back Mathew Silva. Aptos, Santa Cruz and Soquel each have three players.
