The Green River Boys and Girls Wrestling teams saw success once again competing in the Lander Invitational Wrestling Tournament this past Friday and Saturday. This was Green River's first tournament in the middle of the state, with their previous tournaments in Green River and in Utah and Colorado, so they were able to compete against some different schools. The Lady Wolves wrestlers had a "strong performance" in Lander as well, Head Girls Wrestling Coach Clayton Wright said. Their overall fifth-place finish was led by Bianca Maez's second-place finish, which Coach Wright said was "a hard-fought battle in the finals." "Despite this setback, the team remains focused on representing Green River with the same grit and determination shown in Lander," Wright said.
