This 1986 Honda Z50RD Christmas Special is a limited-edition model that was produced for one year only and was distributed in pairs to top Honda US dealerships. The RD is based on the Z50R, and all Christmas Special examples feature a chrome-plated finish with red, white, and blue graphics. Features include a red solo seat, a kick starter, a cross-braced handlebar with red grips, chrome-finished 8″ steel wheels, and a side stand. The steel backbone frame, fenders, chassis components, and fork legs feature a chrome-plated finish, as does the 1.3-gallon fuel tank that wears red, white, and blue Honda graphics and a red “Special” decal on top. Multi-piece 8″ steel wheels are finished in chrome and wear Golden Boy tires.
