This 1951 Packard 300 four-door sedan is said to have spent its life on the West Coast before being purchased in 2005, reportedly by a former Hill and Vaughn mechanic who subsequently refurbished and modified the car. During the 2015 refurbishment, the body was reportedly stripped to bare metal, with the doors and front fenders being chemically stripped. The 327ci L-head straight-eight was reportedly rebuilt in 2015 with a .030″ overbore and a ceramic-coated exhaust manifold, combustion chamber, and piston tops. The pistons were sourced from Terrill Machine, and the replacement Packard 288 cylinder head brought an increase in compression and was fitted with replacement valves and guides. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a replacement 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive.
