REMINDER : The City of Burien is inviting residents to mark their calendars for Empty Bowls 2026, a community meal and fundraiser for local food banks set for this Friday, Jan. 30, at the Burien Community Center. Donations also include a meal of soup, bread, a cookie and coffee, with food donated by local businesses. “Join us for a meal and help fight hunger in our community,” organizers said. Empty Bowls events can be found around the country, raising money to combat hunger in our communities.
