Fort Collins Police Chief Jeff Swoboda says he wants people to know that his agency is not participating in immigration enforcement efforts. ''Immigration Enforcement Is Not Under The Purview Of Local Government"In the video, the chief says ''Many of you have reached out with serious and thoughtful questions about what's happening in Minnesota. I want you to know we've had similar conversations here, inside Fort Collins Police Services. First and foremost, one thing that has not changed is that immigration enforcement is not under the purview of local government and Fort Collins Police Services will not participate in immigration enforcement." But Swoboda says he wants people to know that his officers will show up on every call for service.
