Norwin superintendent can approve change orders for stadium projectNorwin’s superintendent has been given the authority to approve change orders sought by contractors involved in the extensive construction project to renovate Knights Stadium. The school board last month gave Superintendent Natalie McCracken the authority to approve change orders in an amount no greater than $50,000. Prior to approval, all change orders must be reviewed by the stadium project team, including the district’s architects, construction management company and administrators. Change orders also are shared with the board’s facilities committee; following any preliminary approval, all change orders will be ratified by the school board. As of mid-January, there were approximately $230,000 in change orders on the project, which has a total contracted cost of about $24.2 million.
