A person was taken to the hospital Thursday evening after their vehicle reportedly went off I-376 (the Parkway East) and into the Monongahela River. According to TribLive news partner WTAE, the car landed in the area of water near Second Avenue between the 10th Street and Hot Metal bridges in Pittsburgh. Allegheny County 911 dispatchers said the incident was reported just after 4:30 on the 900 block of Second Avenue along the Mon. Emergency responders placed a ladder into the river, reported WTAE. Dispatchers said EMS and fire units are also on scene.
