DoT competition promotion picture(CNS): The Department of Tourism will be giving return flights and a two-week vacation in the Cayman Islands to the winner of a competition to find a Chief Relaxation Officer (CRO). The competition, which is only open to residents of the US, is part of its latest campaign that promotes this destination as a ‘vacation to recover from a vacation’. Your ‘work’ will be to show the world how slowing down can actually restore us,” the marketing material states on the DoT site. The CFO will be selected by the DoT’s new Board of Relaxation based on who is “best-suited for the gig” and “in most need of a vaCay”. The board will also mentor the successful candidate in their two-week role, encouraging them to slow down and relax.
