An Ingham County judge has dismissed a rape victim advocate’s lawsuit against former Michigan State football coach Mel Tucker. Judge Wanda Stokes on Wednesday dismissed the suit filed by Brenda Tracy against Tucker in October 2024, according to court records. Tracy met Tucker in 2021 when he was looking for someone to educate the team on sexual violence prevention. Tucker was one of the highest-paid coaches in sports with a 10-year MSU contract worth $95 million. In July 2024, Tucker filed a federal lawsuit against MSU, alleging racial discrimination, breach of contract and claiming the school fired him without due process.
