A report produced by the United Nations Department of Safety and Security has some statistics about gun violence in PNG in 2004.
The stats in that report show that in that year, there were a total of 2335 firearms offences.
There were only three in Enga, four in Simbu, 14 in Eastern Highlands, seven in Southern Highlands and 6 in Western Highlands.
