In an appalling but not-at-all shocking moment, President Donald Trump openly embraced the label of “dictator” during a speech at the World Economic Forum on Jan. 21. Trump’s statement that “sometimes you need a dictator” comes after a year of him pushing the limits of his power, fighting judges and ignoring the Constitution. Trump has clearly loved being a dictator so far, but he never seemed bold enough to outright admit it. But the fact of the matter is that Trump has not been a great president. It should go without saying, but it appears as though Trump needs a reminder: The last thing any country ever needs is a dictator.
