A pickup truck driver sustained minor injuries after crashing into the back of a Gavin School District 37 bus on Route 59 in Fox Lake Hills Thursday afternoon. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Lake Villa Fire Protection District and Fox Lake Fire Protection District responded at 2:44 p.m. Thursday to Route 59 north of Knolls Court in Fox Lake Hills for a two-vehicle crash. Emergency responders arrived and found a Chevrolet pickup truck and a Blue Bird school bus involved in a crash in the northbound lanes of Route 59. The school bus belonged to Gavin School District 37 in Ingleside. A flatbed tow truck and a heavy wrecker from Fox Recovery and Towing, based in Ingleside, towed both the pickup truck and bus away.
