The Over Our Head Players will hold open auditions next month for a new original production blending sketch comedy, music, and puppetry at the Sixth Street Theatre in downtown Racine. Auditions for “Salmon-A-Rama: The Sketch Comedy Puppet Musical That Your Children Won’t Understand” are scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 17 at 7 p.m. at the theater, 318 Sixth St. Organizers said auditions will include informal reading, singing and playing, with no prepared monologue required. The musical comedy is set in Racine in 1975 and centers on an unusual problem at North Beach involving a rogue man-eating salmon.
