The Boss put out"Streets of Minneapolis" on Wednesday with a message chronicling its quick turnaround. I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. The song's title is a nod to Springsteen's Oscar- and Grammy-winning “Streets of Philadelphia,” from the 1993 Tom Hanks film Philadelphia about AIDS discrimination. Springsteen also released a video for "Streets of Minneapolis" featuring videos from the city's occupation. On iTunes' U.S. store, "Street of Minneapolis" top the sales chart ahead of the likes of Bruno Mars, Harry Styles, Taylor Swift, and KPop Demon Hunters.
