MISSOULA — NorthWestern Energy earned praise for its blue-collar workers and its reliability — but not much else — at a meeting it hosted about the future of electricity in Montana. The meeting was one of four NorthWestern is holding about its plan including ones coming up in Helena and Bozeman. In Missoula, NorthWestern community relations manager Todd Rahr said the utility updates its 20 year plan every three years, a “weird” cycle, but “that’s what happens in energy. She said people around the world have been taking action to be more sustainable, but Montana is losing its winters, and NorthWestern Energy isn’t trying hard enough. She requested the utility do modeling on energy resources with and without the merger.
