Prime Video‘s God of War adaptation has found its All-Father.
Mandy Patinkin has been cast to play Odin in the streamer’s take on PlayStation’s hugely popular ancient mythology-themed video game.
He is the most powerful Aesir god, a patriarch who leads with an iron fist, and an unrivaled seeker of knowledge.
God of War has already received a two-season order and is from acclaimed genre showrunner Ronald D. Moore (Battlestar Galactica, Outlander).
The show’s official description: “God of War follows father and son Kratos and Atreus as they embark on a journey to spread the ashes of his wife and mother, Faye.
