Jamaica’s top women’s tennis player, Alyssa James, saw her Grand Slam debut draw to a close Thursday with a quarter-final loss in the doubles event at the Australian Open in Melbourne. James and her Polish partner, Maja Pawelska, lost in three sets, beaten 10–5 in the final set tie-breaker.
