Tax Administration Jamaica estimates that $9.6 billion in taxes were outstanding on March 1, 2023. KINGSTON, Jamaica – Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) announced on Thursday that several of its offices will operate on the final Saturday of each month from January through April 2026 to provide increased convenience for taxpayers. The designated offices in St Andrew (Constant Spring), Lucea, Falmouth, Montego Bay, Mandeville, May Pen, Morant Bay, and St Ann’s Bay will be open from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Services available during the Saturday openings include processing motor vehicle transactions, renewing driver’s licences, accepting property tax payments, handling Tax Registration Number (TRN) applications, and receiving various tax and fee payments. TAJ stated that the initiative is intended to reduce congestion at tax offices during weekday month-end periods.
