ABUJA – In a move that signals cold isolation for Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governors’ Forum has washed its hands of the ongoing plot to oust him, describing the crisis as a “legal matter” beyond their concern. “The APC governors are not worried about the Fubara impeachment move,” Sule told reporters. Instead, Governor Sule’s remarks suggest that Fubara may have joined a new party only to find himself standing alone in a political minefield. While the APC governors look the other way, the Wike-aligned legislature, led by Speaker Martins Amaewhule, is aggressively pushing forward with impeachment proceedings.
