Kohima, January 28 (MExN): The National Highways & Infrastructure Development Company Ltd. (NHIDCL), Regional Office Kohima, organised a field-level training workshop on “Land Acquisition for National Highways and payment of compensation through the BhoomiRashi portal” at Hotel Vivor, Kohima, on January 28. Accordingly, the workshop was organised for field-level officers of district administrations, State PWD officials, NHIDCL staff and other State Government officials involved in land acquisition processes. The sessions also covered determination of land compensation, land mutation and land lease processes for National Highways, with reference to practices followed in neighboring States such as Mizoram. A presentation on the Nagaland Land (Requisition and Acquisition) Act, 1965 and other relevant land laws in Nagaland was delivered by Kevingoto Kulnu, Revenue Officer, Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima. Interactive sessions enabled participants to address field-level challenges and exchange practical issues related to land acquisition.
