Spotify introduced new features earlier this month to let you share what you're listening to right now, and teased that it was working on group chats. The messaging feature launched on Spotify in August as part of the app's efforts to make it even more social. The app will now let you add up to nine other people to a chat, which it recommends using to "share the podcasts, playlists, and audiobooks you’re listening to." If you're close with a group of music lovers, this may be the best way to share recommendations. To start a group chat on Spotify, open the app and tap your profile, then select Messages.
