Shortly after her passing, gospel singer Alayo Melody announced a detailed burial programme on behalf of concerned colleagues. Another gospel singer, Lanre Alewilese, later confirmed that the delay stemmed from unresolved family issues, which made it difficult for the artistes involved to proceed with the burial plans. He further explained that prior meetings had been held with the family, during which a burial date was jointly agreed upon.
