Police in Berkeley, Missouri, arrested a woman who was wanted on felony charges after recognizing her while she publicly complained about law enforcement during a city council meeting, authorities confirmed, as reported by The Blaze. The incident occurred Jan. 12 at a Berkeley City Council meeting, where Jameicia Moore addressed council members on an unrelated matter and criticized police conduct. While Moore spoke, officers in attendance recognized her as a suspect they had been attempting to locate for weeks, according to Berkeley Police Major Steve Runge. Smith noted that Moore had refused to appear at the police department to speak with investigators, making her appearance at the city council meeting all the more surprising. “It’s actually quite surprising, though, that she then appeared at the Berkeley City Council meeting two months later on a completely different matter.”Runge said the case was a reminder that outstanding warrants do not simply disappear.
