France: A large multicenter study from France has reported that administering intravenous thrombolysis (IVT) to patients with acute ischemic stroke in the late time window—before they are transferred for endovascular thrombectomy (EVT)—may significantly improve clinical outcomes. Earlier trials, including TIMELESS, reported no clear advantage of late-window IVT in patients directly presenting to CSCs. No differences were noted in safety outcomes, including symptomatic intracerebral hemorrhage, helping alleviate concerns about bleeding risks with late-window thrombolysis.
