According to reports online, the 35-year-old actress was spotted wearing Hollywood icon Elizabeth Taylor’s iconic heart-shaped Taj Mahal diamond necklace, which is set in gold and ruby Cartier chain. For those who don’t know, the necklace was a birthday gift from her fifth husband, legendary actor Richard Burton, about 54 years ago. According to media reports, the heart-shaped table-cut diamond bears a Parsi inscription, which reads “Love is Everlasting,” alongside Nur Jahan’s name carved into it. Given its deep association with the Mughals, the necklace is known as the Taj Mahal Diamond. It was in 1971 when French luxury brand Cartier acquired the Taj Mahal Diamond, accented with red gemstones and table-cut diamonds, mounted with jade and suspended it from a traditional Indian silk cord.
