The Massachusetts native turned big-time Hollywood actor is planning major changes for his burger restaurant chain.
Wahlburgers is pivoting toward non-traditional venues to fuel a 2026 expansion after shuttering more than 70% of its locations last year.
Following a major downsizing in 2025 where the chain closed 79 locations inside Hy-Vee grocery stores, the brand is targeting high-traffic retail hubs, airports, and mobile trailers to regain its footing.
A new location is scheduled to open at the Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport in February 2026.
This facility will mark the fourth airport outpost for the chain, joining existing sites at Boston Logan International Airport, Detroit Metropolitan Airport, and Toronto Pearson International Airport.
