The 119-year-old Portland Rose Festival will look a little different this year, again. Here are five ways the 2026 iteration of Portland’s most famous festival will look very different than festivals of the past. Last year, the Grand Floral Parade moved back downtown, but did not cross over to the east side. This year, it is being moved to Saturday, May 30, at noon, “creating greater opportunity for students, families, and schools to participate,” according to the Rose Festival. In 2026, the festival is adding another run, the “Rose Festival Street Mile & Family Fun Run,” on the day of the Junior Parade.
