The Portland Trail Blazers have lost a backup big man for the rest of the season. Duop Reath underwent surgery Thursday morning to repair a stress fracture in his right foot, the team announced, and he’s expected to be sidelined for the rest of 2025-26. Reath has played sparingly this season for the injury-ravaged Blazers, averaging 2.9 points, 1.2 rebounds and 8.1 minutes in 32 games this season. But subsequent medical testing revealed the fracture and Reath underwent surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. He is the latest Blazers player to suffer an injury in a season that has been defined by them.
