A ban on Lord of the Dance creator Michael Flatley having any involvement with forthcoming shows is to be lifted, a High Court judge in Belfast ruled today. When it returned to court to seek a further injunction a series of allegations were made about Mr Flatley’s financial affairs. “Mr Flatley demonstrates fleetness of foot with this new deal,” the barrister submitted. Mr Flatley was then informed following the agreement that the business was back in his full ownership, counsel stressed. Based on concerns about its solvency, any cross-undertaking to pay Mr Flatley damages if it ultimately loses the breach of contract case was described as worthless.
