The state has charged three men with various crimes in the sex trafficking of a 13-year-old girl. The alleged ringleader of the human trafficking operation, Mickael Derius, 30, of Newark, is also accused of sex trafficking a second child. Ramirez is charged with four counts of first-degree manufacturing and filming the sexual assault of a minor and second-degree sexual assault of a minor. The 13-year-old victim was later coerced to meet with Derius three times for commercial sex, the state alleged. The Attorney General’s office is asking anyone with information about sex or labor-related human trafficking to call the Division of Criminal Justice’s 24-hour NJ Human Trafficking Hotline at 855-363-6548.
