KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MI — Courts and county offices will close as bitter cold is expected in the area on Friday, Jan. 30, Kalamazoo County government announced. A low temperature of -5 is expected overnight on Thursday, Jan. 29, with single-digit temperatures expected on Friday, Jan. 30, according to the National Weather Service. On Thursday afternoon, temperatures were around 17 degrees in Kalamazoo. County courts and offices also closed one week ago on Friday, Jan. 23. Essential services will continue to operate and be available, the county said.
