DETROIT -- Former Detroit Tigers right-handed reliever Derek Law has signed a minor-league deal with the Arizona Diamondbacks as he works his way back from injury.
Law, 35, missed nearly the entire 2025 season after tearing his right flexor tendon and undergoing surgery.
Law signed a minor-league deal with the Tigers before the 2022 season and put up impressive numbers while serving as closer for the Triple-A Toledo Mud Hens.
He was picked up by the Reds and posted a 3.71 ERA over 72 2/3 innings in 2022 and 2023.
He was even better for the Washington Nationals in 2024, going 7-4 with a 2.60 ERA in 90 innings.
