A large Royal Canadian Air Force patrol plane circling over Kamloops on Monday was part of a scheduled training run for crews from 19 Wing Comox. RCAF spokesperson David Lavallee told Castanet Kamloops the large military plane’s crew was doing pilot-proficiency training, which included standard airport circuits and practice landings at Kamloops Airport. The training ran for about 90 minutes, and Lavallee said these types of flights are a normal and essential part of maintaining aircrew readiness and operational capability.
