Boston Celtics star forward Jayson Tatum may not be rushing his return to the court as he continues to rehab from a torn Achilles. Per NBA insider Chris Haynes, Tatum is "re-evaluating" the situation and is considering sitting out the entire 2025-26 season. There was no indication from Haynes' report that Tatum suffered any sort of setback and no final decision about his status has been determined. During the Dec. 24 episode of The Hoop Collective, ESPN's Brian Windhorst reported that Tatum "is determined to play" this season. The 2024 NBA Finals MVP is averaging career highs of 29.4 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game as the team's No.
