Labour councillors have challenged the Liberal Democrats after the party issued a statement allegedly "claiming credit" for the U-turn affecting Haseldine Road Car Park.
The switch came after the car park was targeted in multiple consultations, forming part of a larger campaign to implement a controlled parking zone (CPZ) across the village.

"I was delighted that at this meeting, Lib Dem district Leader Paul de Kort confirmed that the district council will soon complete repairs to the car park potholes that were highlighted by me.
London Colney's Lib Dem councillor voted four times that St Albans District Council's budget should include this income.
