Around 91 spaces, including six disabled bays, will be out of action at Bowers Way West car park for five weeks due to safety reasons. A similar section of the car park was closed in February 2025, where 100 spaces were left unusable, leading to an apology from Sainsbury's. Councillor Helen Campbell, lead for Parking, said: “The partial car park closure is unfortunate as we appreciate there is high demand for parking in Harpenden. “In the meantime, people can always use our Bowers Way East and Amenbury Lane car parks as well as on-street bays.”Sainsbury's has been contacted for further information.
