Back in 2024, Google introduced its Android theft protection program, which has been available on all Android phones running Android 10 or later. The set of device protection features is now expanding with new ways to combat financial fraud and better personal data protection in case your device gets stolen. Android is also gaining enhanced recovery tools for all devices running Android 10 and newer. Remote Lock which is available via android.com/lock allows users to remote lock stolen devices from any web browser. In addition, Google is proactively enabling Remote Lock and Theft Detection Lock by default in Brazil.
