Alfie's mother Samantha has initiated the fundraising campaign to support her "bright, determined, fun loving" son's rehabilitation after the operation. The operation, planned for February 2026 at Great Ormond Street Hospital, is intended to reduce Alfie's spasticity. Samantha said: "This is a life-changing operation that offers him the chance to move with greater freedom, comfort, and independence." While Samantha is incredibly grateful for the NHS and the amazing care at Great Ormond Street, she says the level of rehabilitation needed goes far beyond what is fully funded. "Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly towards supporting my son’s rehabilitation journey and helping him reach his full potential.
