Welwyn Hatfield Volunteer Police Cadet Tianna Parmley was presented with a Recognition Award after assisting a student who became unwell, providing first aid, placing them in the recovery position, and contacting their parents while an ambulance was called. Paul McConnell, Tianna’s college tutor, said: "It was clear that Tianna had received some very good training and that was evident in her immediate response and continued support throughout the incident. Mr McConnell alerted the cadet team to her actions, prompting Herts Police to recognise her with the award. PC Brad Glover, Tianna’s cadet leader, said: "Tianna demonstrated exactly what being a Police Cadet is all about – stepping up, supporting others, and using her training when it matters most. Chief Insp Pete Frost from Welwyn Hatfield District presented the award.
