Apple announced today that it is updating App Store pricing and developer proceeds in nine countries effective today, with additional pricing changes to follow next month. Changes affect automated App Store pricingIn an email sent to developers, Apple said that starting today, proceeds from App Store app and In-App Purchase sales are being adjusted in select countries due to tax changes. As Apple explains:These adjustments are made using publicly available exchange rate information from financial data providers to help make sure prices for apps and In‑App Purchases stay consistent across all storefronts. Apple says that pricing for apps and In-App Purchases will be adjusted for storefronts using automated price equalization where Mauritius is not set as the base, but won’t change for auto-renewable subscriptions or for prices that developers manage manually.
