Vladimir Putin agreed to a one-week ceasefire over freezing cold Ukrainian cities, Donald Trump said on Thursday. Mr Trump told his cabinet that the ceasefire would protect Ukraine during an “ extraordinarily cold, record-setting… pile of bad weather”. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov then declined to comment when asked by Russian reporters about the possible ceasefire.
