Norway is to buy 16 Hanwha Defense Chunmoo K239 long-range 16-round multicalibre mobile rocket launch systems under a NOK19 billion (US$1.98 billion) agreement, along with missiles of three different ranges. The deal makes Norway the second European buyer of the system after Poland. Significantly, Norway joins Poland as an outlier in not selecting the Lockheed Martin M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) or the Elbit Systems Precise & Universal Launching System (PULS).
