The Ultimate 70s Show will take place at the Brindley Theatre in Runcorn on April 10, promising a nostalgic night of "chest-beating, toe tapping first pumping belters" from artists including Slade, T. Rex, Sweet and Mud. Martin Metcalf of Geordie and Danny Needham of Venom are among the six-piece band. Organisers are encouraging fans to dress for the occasion. A spokesperson said: ""We encourage people to dig out there tank tops and polish there Platforms as we romp through all the biggest hits from Slade, T.Rex, Alice Cooper, Mud, Sweet, David Bowie , Queen and many more chest beating, toe tapping first pumping belters."
